Please note -Due to an overwhelming response, the closing date for this vacancy had be brought forward to Sunday 5/02/2012 9pm. .
An
interesting post, in a creative environment, this position would
suit someone who has enjoyed working in a small office, with the
ability to adapt to a variety of different tasks when required.
Our
clients range from small businesses to multi-national companies,
which is why our days and production schedule can be so varied.
Naturally, confidentiality is essential, especially as we often
deal with a number of projects for film and television.
Confident to deal with a variety of callers, it is just as important
to ensure a friendly welcome to those who visit our studios. Responding
promptly and professionally to all contacts is essential for the
continuing success of our business, as is the ability to promote
our products.
The
successful candidate will be: well organised, able to follow instructions
as well as work on their own initiative, be neat and tidy with
their work and have: an excellent command of the English language,
a pleasant telephone manner, good attention to detail, and experience
of working in a small office environment. In addition they should
have good computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft
Office systems, the Internet and be a non smoker. Sales experience
could be an advantage.
The
main duties of the position will include taking orders and tracking
their progress, answering and tracking enquiries, general administrative
tasks, and providing general support to the team. In addition,
the successful candidate may, when needed, be required to help
out in the studio packing orders and assisting in product production
at busy times. An interest in art and craft would be an advantage
but is not essential.
Hours will be approximately 40 per week, however due to the nature
of the position, and the requirements to meet deadlines, additional
hours will be necessary. October to December is our busiest period,
and therefore weekend and evening work is expected. As the successful
applicant may become a key holder for the premises, living within
the Cardiff area would be preferable. Salary is negotiable and
will depend on experience.
This
is a family business established over 40 years ago. We offer a
friendly creative environment and a chance to work as a member
of a real team. Based to the North of Cardiff centre, we are able
to offer free parking outside our studios.
