Over several years, we had the pleasure of producing Christmas props for the Top of the Pops Christmas Day special.

Our work included glittered snowflakes, giant baubles, polystyrene penguins and snowmen, helping to create a bright and unmistakably festive setting for the programme’s Christmas performances.

Expanded polystyrene was particularly well suited to the production. It allowed us to manufacture large, eye-catching props that remained lightweight and practical for the set-dressing team to position around the studio. Glittered finishes added plenty of sparkle under the studio lighting, while the different shapes and sizes helped create depth across the set.

Working on the programme over a number of years also demonstrated the versatility of our established Christmas range. Individual products could be supplied in the colours, sizes and finishes needed for each year’s production, without every element having to be designed completely from scratch.

Although our work appeared on screen, our role was behind the scenes: manufacturing and delivering the physical Christmas props ready for the production team to incorporate into the finished set.

We continue to manufacture lightweight Christmas props for television programmes, festive specials, film sets, advertising campaigns and photoshoots. Alongside our established Christmas range, we can also produce bespoke pieces from artwork, drawings, reference images or a creative brief.
