Earlier this year, we supplied 800mm polystyrene spheres for Kingston upon Thames’ Christmas sculpture. This 11.5m high Christmas feature designed by the Students of Kingston College and lead sponsors Berkeley Group. The project was supported by Service Graphics and assisted by the team here at Graham Sweet Studios.
We supplied the 800mm diameter polystyrene spheres which were used to dress the top of the structure. Below are some photographs of the students at work in the earlier stages of the production of this structure.
These working shots show the construction of the structure. Our polystyrene balls were decorated with striking blue star shapes.
…And here’s the finished piece! The lights at the top of the tree look great at night! It seems the structure was a prominent feature in the main shopping street, and a great display over the festive season!
“The Rotree initiative has been for the last two years the focus for the Rotary Club of Kingston (all volunteers) to provide a platform for some 25 local charities to entertain and attract interest in and donations for their valuable work.
Those charities range from children’s cancer and dementia units to days out for disadvantaged youngsters including with disabilities, as well as refugee and homeless organisations to volunteers and equipment to go to international war and natural disaster zones.

This Christmas the Enterprise Centre has created a magical winter wonderland as part of their festivities. The snowflakes from Graham Sweet look fantastic and have been a great talking point!’

Either plain white or glittered, the snowflakes will instantly transform a large space for Christmas! The snowflakes are available in sizes from 140mm up to 2000mm high, and come as standard with secure hanging points. The snowflakes can be hung from ceilings with some thin nylon or cotton.

We were pleased to see one of our favourite snowmen, Frank in the window display in the PodoFit store, St Andrews. The store has also used our SF22B snowflakes in the window with Frank to create a great wintry display. We think it looks great!

We were so pleased to hear that the event was a success!
The snowballs and snowflakes worked well with the ‘Fire and Ice’ theme of the event. Hung from the ceilings, the plain white snowflakes are a great decoration for any winter or Christmas themed party of event.

Fashion boutique Jon Ian in Cowbridge have created this great Christmas window display with our cheeky penguins. We love how they are modelling the store’s scarves and accessories!
It seems they have attracted a lot of attention amongst the shoppers in Cowbridge!
The three small penguins are 700mm high and have been covered in glitter. The larger penguin at the back has a removable tummy, and can also be used as a shelf to display small items of merchandise.

Meet our new little friends this Halloween – BATS! These spooky creatures are perfect to decorate your party or event!
These can be produced in two different styles, and can be customised with eyes and fangs to suit. The largest bat has a wingspan of approximately 1 metre so they are ideal to create an impact at your creepy event.

We recently produced these fantastic giant pink bows for INCA Productions. The bows had pride of place on the front exterior of The Langham hotel in London for a special event the hotel was holding.
At approximately 2000 mm high, the bows create a real impact on the front of the hotel.
Once shaped, the bows were coated all over in a special coating which strengthened the bows as well as increase their fire protection. They were then carefully painted by our artists in our studios – the detail really brings the bows to life!

Huge congratulations to all London Metropolitan University graduates!

We recently produced these large ALUMNI letters and logo for the graduation events at London Met University. As you can see from the photographs, the letters and logo have created the perfect photo opportunity for students on their special day! Finished in white, the letters stand out from the crowd!
The letters and logo are at 1165mm high, and coated in a special coating called Idenden which increases the fire protection of the letters and also makes the letters stronger. The logo has been produced with black acrylic cut out letters fixed to a backing board. All letters and the logo have been fixed to MDF bases which helps them stand throughout the events.
We think the photographs look great! We hope that all of the graduates had a fantastic day with friends and family!
