Television, Film, theatre & Photoshoots

We work closely with television companies, film studios, and photo studios, meeting the fast-paced demands of the industry. (Graham himself was a photographer before moving into visual merchandising.) With extra shifts over the Christmas buildup, we offer quick turnarounds on snowflakes and other props.

No storage? No problem. Our dedicated couriers deliver props exactly when you need them—even for early morning shoots in central London and beyond.

Christmas in July? For pre-shooting festive programs, we’re always ready, manufacturing all Christmas props directly in our UK studios with stock on hand.

Polystyrene, Cardboard, Wood & Foamex

While polystyrene is the most popular choice for our snowflakes thanks to its lightweight nature, we can also manufacture them in other materials. Depending on your project, cardboard, wood, or Foamex (PVC board) may be more suitable — whether you need something recyclable, extra durable, or weather-resistant. Polystyrene is generally the safest option for hanging, while additional care should be taken when suspending the other materials.

• Polystyrene – Lightweight, cost-effective, with the fastest turnaround. Plain white options can also be recycled.

• Cardboard – Relatively lightweight, eco-friendly, and fully recyclable.

• Wood – Strong and durable with a natural finish, ideal for feature displays.

• Foamex – A versatile PVC board that’s smooth, sturdy, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Hanging points

Our polystyrene snowflakes are lightweight and come pre-fitted with hanging points, making them quick and easy to install.

For photoshoots or other special applications, many customers prefer snowflakes without hanging points. Just let us know when ordering, and we’ll accommodate your needs.

Finish

Snowflakes are available in plain white polystyrene, with frost glittered faces, or can also be faced with coloured glitter. We have a wide range of glitter available to fit with any theme. All our snowflakes are cut from high quality expanded polystyrene, containing a flame retarding additive.

Polystyrene snowflakes are generally intended for indoor displays, as outdoor weather can affect their finish and durability. For exterior projects we can recommend alternative materials or protective coatings that may be more suitable. Every installation is unique, so please get in touch and we’ll be happy to advise on the best solution.

Yes — we ship worldwide. Our team regularly handles international orders, and we’ll ensure your snowflakes are packed securely for transit to arrive in perfect condition.

We recommend placing them back in the packing sheets that they come in, and carefully packing them back in the box. Keep them in a dry place. With careful handling, the snowflakes can be reused for multiple seasons.

Our snowflakes are made from expanded polystyrene (EPS). Raw EPS is 100% recyclable and can be returned to recycling centres that accept it. We’re also developing more sustainable material options if your project requires them.
